Event Description: Join TAP-LA for a fun morning on the water in Long Beach with the Los Angeles Racing Dragons team! Learn about the sport of dragon boat racing and its ties to the Dragon Boat Festival, a major cultural festival celebrated in Taiwan.

Schedule:
*Please be sure to arrive on time at 8:45 to go over paddling and safety instructions. Make sure to allot extra arrival time for parking! The 9:30 launch time is fixed and any latecomers past 9:15 will not be accommodated and will forfeit their place in the event.*

8:45: Meet at arrival spot.
9:00: Warmup/Intro to paddling
9:30: Launch from the beach (water time)
10:40: Return to beach
10:45: Clean and wrap up
11:00: Head to lunch! (optional)

Please note that all registrants will be required to sign safety waivers prior to the event day. Due to a limited event capacity of 20 spots, please only register if you're sure you can attend the event. This event will be $15 for members, and $30 for non-members.

What to wear & bring: water-friendly clothing (it may get wet), flip-flops, and a baseball cap-style hat. Plan to bring a towel, a change of clothes, and a non-metal water bottle. All items can be left in bags/backpacks on the beach while we're paddling on the water; valuable bags and items not recommended!
