💌 “And the Oscar goes to…!” The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is the largest museum in the United States devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking. 🎭 And TAPLA got a group rate discount for you! It includes access to the museum’s galleries and exhibitions (does not include The Oscars® Experience). For Asian American Heritage Month, we are pleased to host this event that will showcase Japan’s Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli exhibit. “Original imageboards, character designs, storyboards, layouts, backgrounds, posters, and cels from Studio Ghibli’s archives—including pieces [will be] on public view outside of Japan for the first time.” 🎥 In addition to that exhibit, Stories of Cinema is an on going three-floor exhibition on the diverse, international, and complex stories of moviemakers. There are other exhibits and the Academy Museum Store to explore too! 🎞

⌚️ Please plan on arriving at 12:45 pm and account for the time to park/walk over. We will be holding your discount group rate, general admission, timed ticket entry for 1 pm.

It includes the discount admission ticket for * 1 pm * timed entry. Registration ends midnight 5/13. Cancellations will not be refunded, but you may contact us to transfer your ticket to someone else up to 3 days before the event.

⚠️ COVID-19

Academy Museum website states: Protocols are in place requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Visitors will also need to show a picture ID in association with their vaccination or test details. In alignment with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health policy, face masks are required for all visitors ages 2 and up, regardless of vaccination status.
