All Things Taiwanese Session 2

  • Sunday, May 01, 2022
  • 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • TBA via email

Let’s learn to speak a little Hokkien and talk about anything Taiwanese!

‍ We will get a short overview of Taiwanese Hokkien language basics. It will be followed by a discussion around Taiwanese culture and language buzz topics.

Our presenter is Dr. Oscar Chien. He will lead this virtual forum coming from his life experience and context of a Taiwanese American immigrant. Dr. Chien is a medical doctor and speaker. He has previously spoken on Asian history at churches and schools across the country.

‍ RSVP is required here.

Registrants will receive an email with an online meeting invitation the day before the event.

“All Things Taiwanese” sessions are for any persons interested in cross-generational and cross-cultural discussions, regardless of ethnicity or age. Come join us in a series of casual conversations to learn and talk about all things Taiwanese. Our sessions will feature different aspects and perspectives of the Taiwanese American experience. However, we gladly welcome non-Taiwanese Americans who are interested in learning and supporting the topics surrounding our community.
