2nd Annual Taiwanese American Film Festival

The Taiwanese American Film Festival celebrates the achievements of new, up and coming Taiwanese American and Taiwanese international cinema artists.

Established in 2017 by Taiwanese American Professionals of Los Angeles — a chapter of the nation’s largest network of young Taiwanese American professionals — The Taiwanese American Film Festival will serves as the nation’s only showcase for film and media works by Taiwanese American and Taiwanese international cinema artists.

A one-and-a-half-day event will be held in August 2018 at the 220-seat Downtown Independent Theater. The Film Festival will present short films and media works by Taiwanese and Taiwanese American makers. The Festival’s highlights will include an Awards Ceremony and Closing Celebration, an industry panel, and a variety of food and drink vendors plus art and music attractions.

The Festival’s ultimate goal is to create a platform for a growing cinema community and to help emerging filmmakers in their next cinematic venture.
